Problem #
The distribution pump is turned on and off too many times for normal behavior. This will reduce the lifespan of the distribution pump. As this problem can have multiple causes it is advised to look at the HDM behavior history and all possible causes before taking any action.
Causes #
Abnormal amount of toilets connected
Problem
When more toilets are connected than intended, the pump can be activated too many times for our detection algorithm to find normal.
Solution
Go to the “Device” tab of the Hydraloop. And increase the setting “Distribution pump started many times signaling” to a higher value. (e.g. change to 800 times). Then you are able to close the Ticket without it re-appearing.

A small leaking toilet
Problem
A small leaking toilet can also be the cause. Causing the distribution pomp to turn on and off periodically.

Solution
In this case to get rid of this problem, is fixing the toilet leak. Often the problem is already gone when this ticket is made. Then just close the ticket.
If this is not possible to solve. Please contact Hydraloop support for alternatives.
High resistance pipework / Distribution pump too powerful
Problem
When there is high resistance for the water to flow in the pipework it causes the sensors of the toilet/washing machine to turn off too quickly. This is because pressure is build up even though it should be low. The pump then stops. And the cycle repeats. This can also be caused by too much resistance in the pipework. See image.

Solution
Inspect the pipework towards the toilets. Try flushing a toilet and see in the HDM if this toilet has the behavior. Sometimes the pipework is the cause, but only of a specific toilet.
Check also for any kinks in the pipework close to the Hydraloop or at the toilet itself.
As last resort. Please contact Hydraloop support for a solution.
Abnormal behavior
Problem
Some unknown problem is causing the distribution pump to go on/off too often. Try looking into the Hydraloop graph to see if any hint is given on what is going on. (e.g. valve not working. See example image)

Solution
As the problem is not standard. Please contact Hydraloop support to be sure the right action is taken.
