Check building suitability
Use this guide before purchasing or installing a Hydraloop device. It explains how greywater must be collected separately from blackwater for safe treatment and reuse.
Review the requirements with your Hydraloop partner and a qualified installer. All pipework must comply with local plumbing regulations.
Prepare the required services
Provide a dedicated greywater drain, an overflow connection and an open-to-air vent. The system also needs an internet connection for monitoring, maintenance and troubleshooting through Hydraloop Device Manager.
Plan separate connections for recycled water, backup drinking water and drainage to the sewer. Recycled water is intended only for approved non-potable uses such as toilet flushing, laundry and irrigation.
Review the plumbing layout
Choose the schematic that best matches the building, such as a basement, two-storey or same-level installation. Use the legends to distinguish greywater, blackwater, drinking water and recycled water lines.
Keep the greywater drain at its full internal diameter and install the overhead bypass as shown. Prevent sewer or blackwater backflow, using a non-return valve where required.
Complete readiness checks
Complete the Recycle Ready Pre-Checklist with a qualified installer before plumbing work begins. This helps identify missing connections or changes before they cause delays.
Submit the Recycle Ready Confirmation Checklist before installation and verification. Hydraloop verification will then confirm whether the system is ready for commissioning and operation.
